Windows 11 feels slow? Practical checks

Start with simple checks before installing anything.

1. Check resource use

Open Task Manager and review CPU, memory and disk activity. A process that stays unusually high can point to an application, update or background task.

2. Review startup apps

Review Startup apps and disable items you recognize as unnecessary.

3. Check storage

Remove temporary files you no longer need and keep reasonable free storage available.

4. Install updates

Check Windows Update for pending updates and restart when requested.

Safety reminder: Never provide passwords, payment details or remote access to an unknown person responding to a browser warning.
